Three paths forward

The Next Chapter
You’re a mid-to-late career professional at a crossroads.
A role no longer fits. Organizational shifts have disrupted your path. Or there’s a quiet pull toward something more.
Together, we clarify what matters most and design your next move with intention and confidence.

Rise into Leadership
You’re stepping into greater responsibility and ready to lead with purpose and influence.
This next level calls for clear decisions, grounded presence, and steady navigation through complexity.
We align your leadership with your values and translate insight into confident, impactful action.

Beyond Survival
You’ve experienced a medical crisis and life has shifted, even if everything on the outside looks “fine.”
Returning to “normal” isn’t the goal. You’re redefining who you are now.
We honor what has changed, clarify what truly matters now and take grounded steps toward a life that feels aligned, meaningful, and fully yours.
The golden spiral is nature's perfect ratio for growth. The same elegant proportion is found in nautilus shells, sunflowers, and spiral galaxies. Each expands outward while remaining connected to its center, yet no two spirals are exactly alike.
Your transformational growth works the same way: authentic, adaptive, and anchored in the strengths and potential that are uniquely yours. In 1:1 or group coaching sessions we'll clarify your values and goals, explore what may be keeping you stuck and create aligned actions so you can move forward successfully with clarity and purpose.
Hi, I'm Mel Hodgman
My passion is supporting individuals and organizations to thrive. Having worked across diverse industries for over two decades, I understand both the individual experience and the organizational realities that shape career decisions. This dual perspective allows me to help mid-career professionals create meaningful change that works in the real world and is consistent with their values.
My approach is ICF-aligned and grounded in ontological coaching, helping my clients examine how their language, emotions, and embodied patterns influence how they show up in work and life.
At 24, I was diagnosed with metastatic cancer and lived with active disease for over two decades. I understand living in uncertainty and the urgency that can arise when life shifts unexpectedly. That experience shaped my belief that meaning and success are not opposing forces, nor can they be defined externally; they are interconnected, unique to each individual and tied to living in alignment with what matters most to them.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Colorado College, a Master’s in Education from Plymouth State University, and completed the rigorous Newfield Network ICF Level 2 Coaching for Personal and Professional Mastery program.
Born and raised in New York, I now thrive in the wild places of the Pacific Northwest with my husband, daughter, and twin sons.
